NIKE KD12 has excellent comfort level by using ZOOM Turbo air cushion. It’s popular in the market. Nike release the brand-new KD13 for Kevin Durant in 2020. The appearance is similar to KD12, but it’s also improved a lot comparing with KD12. KD13 has double layers of ZOOM Air cushion. What’s the actual performance? Let’s have a closed look at it today.
There is no special design on the shoebox of KD13
Since the number ‘13’ is a taboo in the west, so the shoebox shows the Durant’s uniform number ‘7’

The vamp of KD13 is similar to the four-axis Flywire mesh fabric of KD12. It uses leather and hot-melting material to reinforce for improving the durability.
The SWOOSH logo and leather of upper will improve the fitness and supporting performance
I like the metal material shoelaces head. The quality is good.
The ‘basketball star’ badge is inspired by the youth’s basketball culture on campus.
The shoe heel has the name abbreviation KD.
KD13 doesn’t have anti-rollover design on the forefoot sole. But it has a piece of TPU plate. We will check the actual performance by playing basketball.
The insole of shoe heel is embossed with AIR ZOOM which is the insole technology of KD13.

The length of EUR42.5 shoe-pad is about 275mm
The width of EUR42.5 forefoot shoe-pad is about 94.93mm
The thickness of EUR42.5 shoe-pad is about 6.63mm
After taking away the shoe-pad, we can see the ZOOM TURBO cushion of insole. The groove design of air cushion can fit the moving directions of foot and improve the overall performance.
It uses XDR rubber outsole which has good durability.
Comparing with the hexagon ZOOM Air Cushion on the rear sole of KD12, KD13 changes the position of air cushion to forefoot sole.
It has visible TPU supporting plate on the arch part to improve the stability. That’s why KD13 change the position of air cushion to forefoot sole.
The coincident position of ZOOM TURBO and TPU supporting plate doesn’t have insole.
The outsole pattern is similar to the meteor crater pattern outsole of PG3 & PG4. The traction performance should be good.
The unit weight of EUR42.5 is about 380g.
Overall:
The size of KD13 is one size smaller than normal size. It’s the same as KD12. It’s better to have a try on physical store. The fitness is good. The full-length ZOOM Turbo air cushion is very comfortable. The extra ZOOM AIR cushion on forefoot sole improves the cushion performance. The feedback is obviously.
