The Nike Zoom KD 3 Christmas is the first pair of basketball shoes in my life when I was high school, it is performance well in that time , the best important is the shoes is amazing , I like the colorway very much ,a tonal yellow upper, a blue swoosh with a red border has been attracted a lot of people.
You will see these pop up during the Thunder’s Christmas Day showdown against Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets, who may very well unveil his own Christmas-themed kicks (possibly the Varsity Red ‘Cranberry’ colorway of the Melo M7).
For the material : it used the comfortable leather , it is similar with Zoom KD II which the same leather upper that took a minute to break in also stands the test of time in the durability department. there ate more detail on the similarities and differences as below , all in all , I’d say that the KD III is a more supportive, durability more stable version of the KD II. But only slightly.
For the KD III , the leather is improved compare with KD II . The KD II’s strap offered some midfoot security, that is hep a lot in the court ,but for someone it wasn’t entirely necessary. I lace my shoes tightly enough that I wasn’t really getting much support from the strap. For the actual support gained in the KD III with it’s integrated medial support overlay.
The midsole construction is very similar as is the upper, although the in-step strap is removed and Flywire is implemented on the forefoot
We can see KD’s logo is present on the tongue as well as the heel, although the bottom sole features less detail than the KD 2.
There are some details as below:
There is TPU support shank that did a great job .
For the cushioning : the KD II and III are very similar. they used the full-width 6mm Zoom bag which offers the great responsiveness in the forefoot, while Phylon is responsible for the impact protection in the rest of the tooling. Compare to other shoes, such as the Air max , the cushion will be better ,also it did a great job when actual game. While the cushioning is basically the same in the two models, the transition of the 3 isn’t quite as good as the shockingly smooth feel of the II. Thanks to the TPU support shank, the III’s tooling is more supportive and protective, which may be preferable to some players.
There are the huge swoosh logo is impression, then there are the text in the tongue : designed and engineered to the exact specifications of Kevin Durant.
The classic logo — KD symbol is still the same in here .
For the supporting : The internal heel counter performed perfectly – strong heel lockdown, no slippage problems at all. On top of that, the KD 3 has a really wide & flat base underneath which improves court feel, adds more stability for the whole structure and keeps your foot from rolling over the midsole.Till now the KD 10 seems followed the KD 3.It is a classic design.
There are the details inside ….
For the traction: The KD III largely followed the KD 2, The KD II’s traction was as reliable as you could ask for, offering security on both clean and dusty courts.but the KD III will be better ,maybe the herringbone design will give more wrap up the midsole on the medial forefoot .I prefer the additional wrapping. What I did like better on the III’s tooling was the addition of the aforementioned lateral forefoot counter, as well as a medial counter.
Here are the details as below :
These small sections of rubber wrap up into the upper, and help provide additional lateral stability.
We can see the zoom logo as bottom.
Overall, Nike Zoom KD 3 is great, I like this one very much , the forefoot Zoom Air are amazing, also the full-length Phylon footbed used will help a lot in court , TPU midfoot support shank– that is the best part that I like . also the lateral forefoot Flywire inset is did a great job.
